Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the concepts and principles of modern cryptography to use them for key exchange, encryption, authentication, protection of data integrity, and enabling non-repudiation. They will study the mathematical basis of modern cryptographic algorithms, and understand analyse the security basis of these algorithms. They learn to use up-to-date cryptographic algorithms, tools, and protocols, and to apply them for protecting computer systems, software, and data.
