Integrates mathematics, statistics and computer science to prepare students for advanced study in mathematical modelling, simulation, optimization and operations research. Develops students’ essential analytic and modelling skills using a variety of computational packages (selected from MATLAB, R, SAS, Python or other suitable candidates). Students will develop solution-oriented programming skills to analyse, model and visualize complex problems using statistical, numerical and other mathematical techniques that will be taught in parallel with their computational implementation.
