Discusses software development life cycles and major approaches to systems development methodologies, how they are used in different circumstances, and the IT professional roles involved in developing digital solutions. Key activities in systems development, including project planning, requirements analysis, systems design and development, testing and deployment, and change management, will be examined. An agile approach that involves different team roles, events and artefacts and low-code/no-code development will be practiced. Emphasis will be placed on the role of a business analyst as a key actor in systems development, and professional roles that involve business analysis-related responsibilities will be highlighted as potential career options.
