Provides students with a knowledge of the fundamental concepts of statistical stability and trim of intact and damaged floating structures and applications within a regulated environment. The course provides the ability to determine the response of any floating structure to changes in its geometry and weight distribution and hence forms one foundation for subsequent design and operations related courses within the student’s respective programme.
