A survey of intermediate-level macroeconomic concepts and models. Dynamics of aggregate economic activity with a data-informed approach are analysed. A focus is on the application and extension of core macroeconomic models to the determination of economic growth, business cycles, inflation, consumption, investment, and the balance of payments. The goals and influence of fiscal and monetary policy with extensive use of real-world applications in the New Zealand context is examined.
