Identifies and unpacks the news media’s part in the legitimisation of dominant perspectives within public discourse and explores inclusive journalism as a set of normative discourses, editorial policies and reporting practices developed to provide a diversity of voices in the news. Rooted in the political notion of an inclusive democracy that goes beyond recognising the formal equality of individuals, the idea of inclusive journalism examines measures that journalists use to address the inequalities of unjust social structures.
