Students will develop a critical awareness of contemporary social issues, including bi-cultural and social-equity concerns specific to Aotearoa New Zealand. Fundamental concepts and theoretical frameworks that underpin global and local social sustainability goals and initiatives will be introduced. Students will also explore a range of design methods and tools used to support social transformation and the building of resilient communities.
