This course offers students an intensive introduction into the skills, strategies, and techniques necessary for successful study in a NZ university. Students will be able to consolidate and extend their academic writing and referencing skills as they develop essential critical reading and research strategies. They will also take advantage of opportunities to develop their speech, conversation, and listening techniques, so they can be active and confident participants and presenters in academic situations. Throughout the semester, students are encouraged to reflect on their learning processes and make appropriate future study plans.
