Introduces the statutory and common law landscape, as well as the legal aspects of construction and civil project procurement and contracting, as well as introducing dispute avoidance and arbitration approaches. Introduction to the mātauranga Māori and tikanga Māori as applied to construction contexts and contracts. An overview of the legal issues specific to construction law such as variations, quality, time and payment is included.
