A study of advanced topics of astronomy and astrophysics preparing postgraduate students for research in the field. It covers important topics necessary for their research, such as mechanisms of radiation of cosmic plasmas, the radiation transfer equation and its solution for the interstellar matter and stellar atmospheres. The spectral modelling section is also required for most astronomy research topics.
