This course provides media practitioners producing content in Aotearoa with a Kaupapa Māori perspective on media production practices. It includes a historical overview of the Māori media industry, and covers Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in a contemporary setting, tikanga Māori, marae protocols and elementary mātauranga to use as a reference point for media production in Aotearoa.
