A critical consideration of the history of gender, sex, and sexuality in Aotearoa and the world. We look to the past, to the indigenous and the colonial, through the lenses provided by feminist and queer theories, to make sense of the multicultural present and to explore the way these deeply diverse concepts have come to be experienced and expressed in contemporary society.
