Students develop leadership abilities relevant to their personal growth to equip them for leadership roles in service-orientated organisations such as those in the hospitality, culinary, tourism and events areas. This course will provide students with a conceptual and practical understanding of the dynamics and theoretical frameworks of leadership, to allow them to critically analyse, evaluate and reflect on their own leadership potential. A particular emphasis is placed on investigating perspectives of leadership to enable students to critically reflect and modify their own behaviour, in response to others in a diverse organisational and cultural context.
