Provides an advanced understanding of research design and analysis in psychology. Emphasis is on methods of dealing with threats to valid inferences in psychological research. Covers design and interpretation of experimental, correlational and quasi-experimental methods. Focus will be on parametric and non-parametric statistical techniques including (but not limited to) chi-square, t-tests, analysis of variance (including multi-way and mixed designs), correlational techniques, and linear regression.
