A practical approach to learning about the theory and practise of the determinative processes of arbitration and adjudication, including understanding of the development of arbitration in NZ, the role and significance of the UNCITRAL Model Law and the 1956 UN Convention; the 1996 Arbitration Act and amendments; the practice of arbitration in NZ from agreement to arbitrate to enforcement of awards; and the context, history and application of the adjudicative process in the Construction Contract Act 2002.
