Research methods and a research project in one of the following areas: bioinformatics; molecular genetics; metabolism (body composition, nutrition or energy expenditure); environmental science (marine biodiversity, marine ecology, aquaculture, biogeography, environmental issues, water quality, terrestrial ecosystems); glycoscience (glycobiology, carbohydrate blood group chemistry, histochemistry, glycosyltransferase molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, embryology).
