| Purpose |
|
PgDipAppPsych graduates will have a broad understanding of core psychological principles and evidence-based approaches to address practical challenges in diverse settings. They will be able to apply psychological tools and frameworks to support decision-making, wellbeing, and behaviour change. Graduates are prepared for further postgraduate study, including direct entry into the Master of Applied Psychology. They will be able to enhance their existing professional roles or seek new opportunities by integrating applied psychological knowledge and skills in roles requiring an understanding of human behaviour and motivation.

Courses focused on applied knowledge across key domains such as human development and wellbeing, organisational and social behaviour, neuropsychology, and behaviour change. Each course integrates culturally responsive frameworks, ethical practice, and relevance to the Aotearoa New Zealand context.
