| Purpose |
|
MAppPsych graduates will have advanced knowledge and applied skills in psychological science to address real-world challenges in diverse workplace settings. They will be critical thinkers, capable of designing and evaluating interventions that enhance wellbeing, leadership, and organisational outcomes. Graduates will bring culturally responsive, ethical, and collaborative approaches to their work, integrating Maori and Pasifika perspectives. They will be prepared for a wide range of roles where advanced applied psychological knowledge and research skills are valued, including in organisational development, human resources, policy analysis and programme evaluation.

| Content |
|
Courses focused on applied knowledge across key domains such as human development and wellbeing, organisational and social behaviour, neuropsychology, and behaviour change. Each course integrates culturally responsive frameworks, ethical practice, and relevance to the Aotearoa New Zealand context. Research evaluation and evidence application, Research Project in Applied Psychology in which students undertake an independent project on a workplace-relevant issue.
