MEdPrac graduates will be reflective practitioners with the knowledge and capabilities to critically analyse, reflect on and modify effectively their own educational practice; independently assess and critique new information and research relevant to their chosen area of interest in education practice; and, work effectively and collaboratively with
people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Reflective inquiry in the context of educational practice; past, present and future purposes of education; conceptions of knowledge and learning; relationships between education and society, citizenship and employment; Global Impacts on education practice in contemporary society; history and context of Maori and Pacific educational experiences; multiple and contested meanings of education and sustainability; contemporary issues in education.
