Purpose
The BA/BCIS conjoint degree programme gives students the opportunity to complete the requirements of two bachelor’s degrees over a reduced period of time. Graduates will have a body of knowledge in the discipline areas of their arts and computer and information sciences majors, combined with the ability to apply this knowledge in an employment setting. Graduates will also be prepared for postgraduate study in their chosen fields.

Arts subjects: Chinese, conflict resolution, creative writing, criminology and criminal justice, culinary arts, economics, English studies, event management, history, international studies, interpreting, Japanese studies, Maori development, Maori media, NZSL and Deaf studies, psychology, social sciences. Computer and information sciences subjects: software development, information systems science, IT security, IT service science, net-centric computing, computer science.
