In exploring their identity and role as a pedagogical leader, student teachers grow their funds of professional knowledge. Students will gain an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Whāriki. Engaging with this bicultural curriculum students will focus on the value of community and relationships. The four principles of Whakamana | Empowerment, Whānau Tangata | Family and community, Kotahitanga | Holistic Development, and Ngā Hononga | Relationships are woven through the course.
