This course brings together the critique of theory and underpinning research related to the learner and learning, with the skill of applying professional knowledge in a range of teaching and learning situations within the primary/intermediate classroom. Student teachers will develop adaptive expertise (underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi), apply evidence-based teaching inquiry processes, and will demonstrate progress towards achievement of the Teaching Council’s Our Code Our Standards (in a supportive environment).
