An exploration of Auckland’s social and cultural history during the twentieth century. Students will be introduced to histories of tangata whenua in the city during this period, and will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the social and commercial trends in Auckland’s civic development in the twentieth century. There will be a focus on the evolution of the city’s built environment, and its cultural transitions in this period.
