Explores and develops expertise in the practices that inform the concept of 'brand' beyond goods and organisations. Investigates the various roles of brand: its purpose, value, culture, challenges and potency in the promotional culture of the twenty-first century. Investigates the holistic nature of brand experience and brand co-creation with the consumer. Compares and contrasts the development of brand communication in both New Zealand and international markets. Discusses the intersection of history, culture and brand. Provides an essential understanding of the synergy between brand strategy, brand experience, brand expression and corporate responsibility, including governance, social, environmental, and health impacts.
