Learners will critically appraise theories of curriculum and learning design and draw upon these understandings to develop a range of curriculum practices appropriate for the secondary learning environment. This course includes a specific focus on the application of curriculum theory to specialist learning areas to address the needs of the diverse student population. It is taught in partnership: theoretical aspects will be the responsibility of the university lecturers and the professional application to learning areas will be taught by Curriculum Specialist Teachers through workshops in partner schools.
