Basic statistics and probability theory and an introduction to regression analysis of primarily cross-sectional level data. Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), application and statistical properties are introduced. Parameter hypothesis tests as well as general misspecification tests are presented. Skills in practical implementation of estimation tools using statistical software are developed.
