A critical examination of contemporary language issues in all educational contexts (early childhood, compulsory, tertiary and non-traditional). This course will engage with issues of educational language hierarchies, landscapes, ecologies and identities, as well as exploring language planning and practices in diverse educational settings. The course will appeal to teachers and other educators interested in working in more equitable ways with multilingual students and course participants will have the option to apply themes of interest to their own specific educational context.
