Underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a deepening knowledge and understanding of Te Whāriki, kaiako who care and question will use their agency for action towards a future society. Critical awareness of citizenship, sustainability, equity encourage behaviours and values in relation to key concepts of social justice, ethics, agency, equity and diversity. Pedagogically, this course will be strongly connected to the Code of Professional Responsibility as kaiako explore strategies to foster critical thinking, agency and inclusivity in early learning services and beyond.
