A knowledge of qualitative research methodology is developed by contextualising an educational research project in students’ own area of professional practice. In the process, students will reflect on, question and adapt their practice. Research methods will be designed and evaluated using criteria from various research perspectives. This course will develop a critical orientation towards reflective practice and a critical understanding of how qualitative research can inform teaching practice, providing a research-informed basis from which to enhance learning and professional practice.
