Teacher identity, both personal and professional, is the foundation upon which concepts such as self-efficacy and agency are built and enacted. Personal and professional attitudes, values, beliefs and behaviours related to concepts of social justice, ethics, agency, equity and diversity will be used for challenging personal responsiveness. Learners critique socio-cultural and political influences on the Aotearoa New Zealand education system as a context within which a unique bi-cultural and a concurrent multi-cultural experience is expressed in the centre/classroom.
