In this course students will explore the role of the teacher in a primary school classroom. The course emphasises relationships as the basis for teaching and learning and acknowledges how an understanding of our own values and beliefs are fundamental in building respectful relationships within the primary school context. Students will engage in readings, discussion, reflection and practice (through practicum) to build relationships with a range of diverse learners.
