An examination of quality writing in Maori since first contact such as the Te Rangikaheke manuscripts, the Mahupuku manuscript, selected texts from the Maori Language newspapers, original material used by Grey in the production of Nga Mahi a Nga Tipuna through to quality modern writing in Maori. Through these works and the high level skill of translation, the student will examine the way language has changed over time.
