An investigation of the theoretical and practical issues related to the acquisition, implementation and application of enterprise information systems in organisations, including the motivations for acquiring such systems; the challenges of implementing them; the process integration inherent in such systems, and the impact of such systems on key business processes. Students will develop work plans for implementation and use an ERP software application, such as SAP, through computer-based training materials and hands-on experience.
