Consolidates and strengthens comprehension and production skills in New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) by further developing students' knowledge and skills in the structure and use of NZSL from a sociocultural perspective. Complex grammatical structures and functional language patterns are developed, as well as development of culturally appropriate conversational behavioural strategies for effective interaction in familiar situations within the Deaf community.
