Learners develop an understanding of how the science learning area contributes to the development of the key competencies and vision in the New Zealand Curriculum. They are able to articulate these understandings, evaluate issues, and apply them to planning for teaching, learning and assessment in science. Class meetings will take the form of whole group presentations and discussions, small group seminars and workshops, and individual and collaborative teamwork in an innovative learning environment.
