Provides a foundational knowledge of Asia as a geographical (physical, human and touristic) region. The initial focus in on articulation of themes representing a regional geographic approach. The remainder of teaching examines these themes across a wide range of nations. Comprehension of nations as tourism destinations is embedded within the course material. The underlying philosophy is that students learn what they would learn if they had taken a trip to the destination.
