This paper is designed to: enable students to analyse and compare the characteristics of New Zealand industry, agriculture and trade relations with those in major Chinese-speaking countries; develop skills to discuss these in Chinese by developing relevant structures already covered; develop knowledge of New Zealand culture, and students' awareness of their roles as ambassadors for New Zealand and to develop appropriate social and language skills to handle situations with tact and courtesy.
