Deaf people have distinct behavioural patterns, which reflect their particular language, history, values, norms and ways of viewing the world. Students explore characteristics of Deaf social experience within a cultural paradigm (as advanced in contemporary Deaf Studies literature), and consider implications for cross-cultural interaction between Deaf and hearing people.
